Our team at Macleod Wellness Centre has been developed based on the ethical principals, accreditation and professionalism of each practitioner. Our welcoming and nurturing team members consider the best interest of each individual when assisting and treating to ensure a tailored approach to their health and wellness.
Anna Nikolaou - Director/Principal Psychologist
Anna is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She obtained her Masters Degree in Psychology completing her thesis on Coping Strategies as a mediator between Attachment and Psychological Distress (Depression, Anxiety and Stress). Anna has furthered her studies and completed a post graduate degree in Adolescent Health and Welfare at Melbourne University.
Anna's warm approach and ability to empathise and provide support enables her to build strong working relationships with her clients. Anna assists her clients to address issues relating to anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, motivation, work related stress, anger management and work/life balance.
Anna uses evidence based practice approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed Therapy and Psycho-education to equipt individuals with strategies to better manage their issues.
Anna is a member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Medicare, TAC and WorkCover provider.

Caroline Findlay - Psychologist (Educational and Developmental)
Caroline is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She obtained her Masters degree in Psychology (Educational and Developmental) from Monash University and she has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents. Caroline has presented her Masters research at conferences both in Australia and Europe on the topic of motivation in children.
Caroline works with clients in a warm and supportive manner, whilst providing sound and practical strategies. She employs evidence based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to support clients in identifying thoughts and beliefs causing distress and re-evaluate unhelpful ways of thinking. Caroline works with clients on a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, social difficulties, friendship challenges, self-esteem, motivation, impulse control, attention issues and anger management. Additionally, Caroline has experience supporting parents on a range of issues including adjusting to becoming a parent, support for new mothers and fathers with babies, and parenting strategies for toddlers and young children. Further, Caroline works one on one with older students assisting with study strategies and organisation techniques.
In addition to therapy, Caroline also has experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments with children. She is experienced in administering a wide range of measures including the WISC-V and WIAT-III and works closely with the child, parents, school and other health professionals.

Max Rutherford - Senior Psychologist
Max is familiar with a range of evidence based practices including: psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy, Bowen family systems and existential psychotherapy. He combines over thirty years of clinical experience with a beginners mind and a willingness to listen and learn from his clients about what is important to cover in the sessions.

Before qualifying as a psychologist Max worked as a professional musician, a computer operator, a waiter / floor manager in hospitality, and for eight years as a teacher of the F. M. Alexander Technique.
He has been practicing meditation for over three decades and has taught mindfulness to patients and staff at: The Buddhist Library; The Sydney Children’s Hospital; The Royal Melbourne Hospital; and The Australian Prostate Centre.

Francis Cosson - Physiotherapist
Francis is a Physiotherapist and accredited meditation and mindful movement practitioner who is passionate about sharing his experience and ideas on movement and self enquiry. Francis is friendly, professional and results driven. He focuses on working with his clients to find the source of the condition, to reduce pain, build strength and achieve management for long term results. Francis has worked across many areas of Physiotherapy including emergency, rehabilitation, post surgery, sports, aged care, disability and pain management.
Helen Solomon - Receptionist/Administration Officer
Elisa Yip - Acupuncturist
Elisa Yip is a tertiary educated Acupuncturist, completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in neuroscience, at Melbourne University. She further completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine/Human Biology) double degree at RMIT.
Elisa has served as an Acupuncturist for the northern suburban community since 2007.
She has clinical interests, skills and experience in managing the following:

- Womens health
- Pregnancy support
- Hay fever
